Biographies
Gina Biegel, MA, LMFT
is a psychotherapist who works privately and for
a large Health Management Organization. She adapted Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
for an adolescent population and conducted a Randomized Control Trial assessing the efficacy of
this program with adolescents with very significant results, this journal article is currently
in press with the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology (JCCP). She is conducting
a formal research study to assess the efficacy of the Mindful Schools program.Her new book,
The Stress Reduction Workbook for Teens: Mindfulness Skills to Help You Deal with Stress,
comes to stores Jan. 2010.
Serena D'Arcy-Fischer
has extensive marketing, communications, development and fundraising experience within
educational institutions, government and NGOs, spanning South Africa, New Zealand and the
United States. She is excited about raising money and awareness of the efficacy of Mindful
Schools program in furthering the potential of children.
Daniel Rechtschaffen
is a core teacher with Mindful Schools. He works in the San Francisco Bay area as a marriage and
family therapist intern, offering mindfulness-based therapy for children, adults, and families.
He has been trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and has an MA in counseling psychology.

Carley Hauck, MA
is a teacher in Marin county for Mindful Schools. She works as a mindfulness based coach and therapist in private practice and at UCSF's Osher Center for Integrative Medicine. Additionally, Carley is the founder of Intuitive Wellness and has developed and created curriculum for three mindfulness based wellness programs. These programs are in the areas of walking meditation, mindfulness weight management, and a mindfulness based class aimed at the prevention of eating disorders in teen girls.
